From Sarangdev, a small village in Amritsar, and the family’s lumber business, the journey of Atuljit Marwah and his love for wood began. A Post-Graduate in History, Atuljit set up a woodworking workshop near Bhikaji Cama Place, Delhi, during the early 1990s and received enormous recognition for his quality products and craftsmanship. After much success, he founded Sarangdev, carrying a vision to create original, exceptional, premium and global furniture brand.

“Woodworking is like baking a cake – a spirited art,” says Atuljit Marwah, who is always looking to discover new pathways and inventions in the furniture world. He also speaks Japanese and adores a conversation about coffee beans.

Avijit Marwah, an Industrial and Operations Engineer from the University of Michigan, followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the family business. Close to the new age world, Avijit even built a startup called ModSpace from the ground up and sold it successfully. He is also currently running as the director of Evowood, a nationally growing pure wood company.

Leading the marketing and production department, Avijit envisions Sarangdev as a premium company in terms of distinctive creations, engineered woodworking, a pristine quality, both nationally and internationally.
